Mr Bowes recently carried out cataract surgery on both my eyes, he very clearly explained the prognosis and what he would be doing, he made me feel very reassured about the surgery. His manner was extremely kind and caring and I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking eye surgery.

Mr Bowes is an amazing doctor :-) He did a cataract operation on my right eye only 3 days ago and it's brilliant :-) I can see perfectly :-) He also did my left eye at the start of 2020. Being able to see is so important and I am extremely grateful to him and his teams, both at Queens Hospital and King George's. THANK YOU :-)

In November 2020 I damaged my eye by accidently bashing the corner of a sharp object into it, I went to eyecare A&E and was given some drops and sent home. A week later my vision was still blurey, so I returned. Mr Ollie Bowes' colleague spotted an iregularity with my eye and promptly booked me an appointment with Mr Bowes later that week. 2 days later I saw Mr Bowes, he inspected my eye and quickly identified a worrying problem: I had Lasik Laser-eye surgery around 10 years ago, the fresh damage to my eye had casued part of the Lasik flap to fold in and cause complications and comprimise my vision, it would require surgery to correct. Mr Bowes tried to book me in for the following week, but there were no appoinments. Mr Bowes then managed to fit me in for the same day. Fast forward a few hours and I am in surgery having my vision saved. All in all Mr Bowes is an absolutely amazing surgeon. The way I was treated was second to none. As soon as I met him I knew I was in good hands, he is very friendly but didnt gloss anything up and was realistic with what was wrong with my eye and what was needed to correct the problem, which wasnt straight forward. He answered all my questions as was totally clear throughout. This is hands down the best care I have ever had and I am so greatful to Mr Bowes and his team, I cannot speak highly enough of him.

I found Mr Bowes to be extremely professional and approachable. He explained things clearly and I found it easy to raise questions/concerns without feeling like I was wasting his time. He was honest about the after effects of the operation which made me feel more prepared.
